Blair Brengle, MD
Medical Director
Dr. Blair Brengle has been practicing family medicine for nearly 30 years. He has spent much of his career building long-standing relationships with patients and their families while helping them with various medical problems and preventative health issues. He has worked extensively in the areas of heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, pulmonary medicine, mental health issues, musculoskeletal problems, and weight management. Dr. Brengle is the physician/owner of Brengle Family Medicine located on North Meridian Street. Dr. Brengle received his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University. He taught science at Carmel High School before becoming a full time graduate student at Purdue University where he earned a Master of Science in Biology. He was then hired to work in basic science research at the Krannert Institute of Cardiology, a division of Indiana University School of Medicine. Subsequently he entered the Indiana University School of Medicine where he earned his medical degree. He completed a three year specialty residency in Family Medicine at St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove, Indiana. Upon completion of the residency program, Dr. Brengle cofounded Hoosier Family Health where he spent 25 years as a Family Medicine practitioner. Dr. Brengle founded Brengle Family Medicine in 2017 in response to the changing climate in healthcare. At Brengle Family Medicine, he continues to offer more immediate access to his patients, extended appointment times, and individualized, personalized patient care. Dr. Brengle has a real passion for helping patients with weight management. He states that: “Being overweight adversely affects every system of the human body. If I can help a patient lose weight, it is likely that their weight loss will help other disease processes get better and will improve their general health and quality of life.” He is excited about the prospects of helping even more patients achieve weight loss by being the medical director for Medi-Weightloss Noblesville/Fishers. Dr. Brengle enjoys spending time with his family. He engages in outdoor activities, exercise and fitness, The Boy Scouts, the arts and music, travel, and church.
Andrea Tennancour, MSN, AGNP-C
Andrea Tennancour is a board-certified Adult and Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Scranton and her Master of Science in nursing from Ball State University. She joined Medi-Weightloss with over 25 years of healthcare experience, with a strong background in cardiology, internal medicine, and wellness. She enjoys working with patients to help them achieve their best self, by guiding them toward healthy lifestyle changes to improve their health and quality of life. In her free time she enjoys reading, nature walks, going to concerts, and spending time with her family.
Brittani Hess, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Brittani Hess is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University School of Nursing and also earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Indianapolis. Brittani has over 13 years of medical experience, 7 of those as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has a range of experience in Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Room, Trauma, Long-Term Rehabilitation, Retail Health, and Geriatric Health Management. Brittani's favorite part about Medi-Weightloss is being part of the patient’s journey to a healthier lifestyle and also being a wellness champion for the each patient. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, running, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Angie Howald, NP-BC
Angie is a board-certified adult and gerontology nurse practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Indianapolis and her Master of Science in nursing from Indiana University. She has over 15 years of nursing experience, specializing in cardiology. Prior to joining Medi-Weightloss, she practiced as a cardiology nurse practitioner for 7 years and is experienced in treating hypertension, high cholesterol, heart disease, cardiac arrhythmias, and congestive heart failure. She also often collaborated with endocrinologists to coordinate patients’ diabetic regimen with their cardiac care. She has always had a desire to help prevent obesity-related medical conditions including, but not limited to, hypertension, high cholesterol, and type 2 diabetes. She was excited when the opportunity arose to join the team at Medi-Weightloss. She has found increased job satisfaction by providing patients with the tools, emotional support, and ongoing encouragement needed to help patients in their weight loss journey. She finds it extremely rewarding to see patients’ blood pressure and cholesterol decrease; to see diabetic patients who have been able to stop their diabetic medications; and, to hear from patients about how much better they feel, how much more energy they have, and to watch their confidence build. In her personal life, she is a mom to a near-teenage daughter and two miniature schnauzer puppies. She loves music (especially live), being near lakes, oceans, and rivers, traveling, painting, eating healthy, and working out. Her dream in life is to live on a body of water with a clear view of the sunset. Angie is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Nurses Association, and the Obesity Medicine Association (OMA). She is currently working on becoming certified in advanced education in obesity medicine through the OMA.
Amy Sprunger, FNP-C
Amy Sprunger is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Amy has over 20 years of work experience in health care. She started her career in a geriatric community wellness program after she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with a minor in Health Systems Administration from Indiana University. She participated in a variety of community health initiatives and research programs to expand services to the elderly population in Marion County, Indiana. She later returned to school to pursue clinical training and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Indiana University. She worked in critical care as a bedside nurse on a medical and surgical intensive care unit for 12 years before returning to school once again and graduating with a Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Southern Indiana. Amy has worked as a Nurse Practitioner in primary care and occupational health services as well as in an ICU Survivor's Program. Throughout her career, she has long realized the value of promoting preventative health and wellness to decrease chronic disease and morbidity. She enjoys working for Medi-Weightloss® and helping patients realize their potential to achieve their weight loss goals and be their own best health and wellness advocate. Outside of work, Amy enjoys traveling, listening to live music, reading a good book, discovering and attempting new home DIY projects and going on new adventures with friends and family.
John Baranowski
John and his wife, Margaret Baranowski, own the Medi-Weightloss® Noblesville/Fishers clinic. John is actively involved in the day to day operations serving as the office manager. John holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Rochester. John came to Medi-Weightloss® after a long career with Eastman Kodak Company, Thomson, and Roche Diabetes Care. Through John’s experience in the diabetes care industry, he witnessed how obesity is a chronic, progressive disease that often leads to a variety of serious health conditions, such as Type 2 diabetes. He’s committed to enhancing the wellness of central Indiana residents. Outside of work John spends his time road cycling, reading, and keeping in touch with his two adult daughters who live out of state. With his wife, Margaret, he enjoys getting together with friends and playing tennis.
